IT Support Technician

Established and successful IT Managed Services provider is recruiting an IT support technician to be based on a school site. As IT support technician you will be providing hardware and software support to over 1000 end users.

At the jobs core, as IT Support Technician you will maintain the schools computer networks, printers, other peripherals, documentation and support the day-to-day running of a busy, vibrant and active school.

As IT support technician typically, the onsite role will manage the 1st and 2nd line technical support issues using a market leading ticket system, with a fully staffed offsite IT service desk to deal with more complex 3rd line support issues. The desk also acts as a resource overflow to the onsite technician to deal with periods of high volumes of calls.

AS IT Support Technician your skills should include:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Servers and core components.
  • Basic Networking knowledge.
  • PC diagnostic Skills
  • Windows Server and Desktop operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Firewall and Filtering
  • Desktop Deployment (WDS, MDT, SCCM)
  • Role will be dependent on a successful DBS

There are reasonable public transport links, but the ability to drive is desirable in order to access in house training, shadowing opportunities and be involved in project work outside of term time.
